Art and Italian Craftsmanship for the Euforia Collection

Art and Italian Craftsmanship for the Euforia Collection

These are not your average shoes, and they’re not made for just anyone. We are talking about a pair of trainers packed with Italian art and know-how, commissioned by PayPal as an exclusive tribute to the world’s richest men, including Elon Mask and the leaders who founded the payments company, as well as other creators of billion-dollar tech start-ups, from YouTube to Linkedin, from Ancestry to Facebook, Sequoia, Open AI, Tesla and Space X. Inspired by this group of visionaries, Euforia has created a series of shoes to celebrate the thousands of start-ups around the world that work hard to make their entrepreneurial dreams come true.

“The evening presentation held last November in Palo Alto, California was a great success, at which a number of well-known personalities wore the trainers; Deb Liu, CEO of Ancestry, insisted on having her pair right away, one of the most beautiful models featuring graphics by Parin Heidari, an Iranian artist based in the US,” explains Euforia creative director Piero Addis, who co-founded the project with Dylan Ratigan in 2023.

The artistic side of Euforia shoes is what makes them unique, as confirmed by the claim Live in Art: 14 contemporary artists were involved in the project, interpreting the graphics of the uppers through digital technologies to create unique items, each with its own identification code, collection number, and provenance, stored on an NFC tag inside the shoe. Italian manufacture in Fiesso d’Artico, in the Veneto region, guarantees the perfect construction of the product, the quality of the workmanship and the comfort of the fit: features that were appreciated by everyone who tried on the trainers at the Palo Alto presentation. Piero Addis answered our questions about the future evolution of the Euforia project.
